Hello, my name is Ivana (she/her). I serve clients across Ontario and Nova Scotia.
I support adults while they navigate anxiety, stress, depression and grief. One of my passions is supporting folks who are currently working through a life transition or change.
My practice is grounded in trust, empathy and compassion. I employ a client-centred approach that honours you as the expert of your life while creating a safe and open space for you to self-explore, free of judgment.
You can expect our sessions to be easy-going, conversational and most importantly approachable. I offer free 20-minute consultations, which you can book below.
I can’t wait to begin working with you!

My Journey to Compassionate Care
For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion and curiosity for others. This passion led me to purse my Bachelors in Psychology followed by my Masters in Social Work to gain a better understanding of the factors that impact overall well-being. Since then, I have had the privilege of working in multiple hospitals throughout Toronto, bringing holistic care to the front lines
Most recently, I supported families and patients in the Intensive Care Unit as they navigated death and dying, as well as tremendous life changes. I believe that true healing begins when someone is there to compassionately hear your story and support you in making holistic changes that impact all areas of your life.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is eclectic in nature, meaning that I draw on multiple evidence-based approaches to meet you where you are at. Therapy is a dynamic experience and in each session, I will use skills from multiple approaches in order to ensure we are meeting your goals!
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a therapeutic modality whereby we attempt to better understand how your thoughts and beliefs may be affecting your feelings and furthermore, your behaviour. We will work together to identify the beliefs you hold and change thought processes that may be holding you back. In this approach, we will also work on making attainable behavioural changes to lead to a more balanced life and challenge misconceptions.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) will help you develop psychological flexibility by teaching acceptance of difficult thoughts and feelings, while committing to actions aligned with your values. This approach empowers you to break free from avoiding uncomfortable feelings or thoughts and allows you to shift your focus on what is most important to you.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a skill that will be used to help you gain present moment awareness allowing you to observe your thoughts and emotions in a non judgmental way. This not only fosters self-compassion, it allows you to gain emotional awareness while reducing stress. This is a skill and requires practice!
Polyvagal Theory
Polyvagal theory provides a framework for understanding how clients’ nervous system states influence their emotions and behaviors. In our sessions, I use this theory to aid clients in identifying their bodily responses, developing techniques for self-regulation, and creating a sense of safety that supports healing and connection.
Innerbloom Values
Connection – We foster deep connections through the therapeutic relationship with our clients so that they feel seen and heard as their most authentic selves.
Safety – We create spaces that embody safety and trust where our clients feel safe to share their thoughts and emotions facilitating a deeper exploration of personal experiences.
Collaboration – We empower our clients to actively participate in their therapeutic journey, promoting agency and ownership over personal growth.
Individuality – We embrace diversity and honour each client’s unique lived experiences and perspectives. We tailor therapeutic interventions to meet the specific needs and strengths of every client.

How do I book a consult and what can I expect next?
There are two ways you can book a consult. You are able to complete our contact form and you will receive an email to proceed with next steps or answer any initial questions. If you are ready to book a consult right now, you are welcome to take a peek at available times for a consult call here. We will book an initial session given that we are a good fit for one another!
What does an initial session entail?
The initial session is all about building the therapeutic relationship. Clients often describe the first session as a casual conversation. We begin by discussing what brings you to therapy and naturally we’ll get to more questions about you and your life. Remember therapy is about trust so you eventually feel more comfortable sharing what you hold close.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes, I save a number of spots in my practice for a sliding scale which is based on income. We can further discuss this option in our consult call.
How is payment handled?
Once our session has ended, I will charge the card on your file and you will receive a receipt to your e-mail immediately. We accept credit cards and e-transfer.
How do you conduct your sessions?
We conduct all sessions using the secure virtual platform called the Jane App. We prioritize your security and carefully chose this platform for its safe, accessible, and user-friendly features.
Can I use my insurance to pay for sessions?
Yes, it is really important to ensure that your insurance company provides coverage for social workers (MSW or RSW) specifically. After you pay for your session, you’ll receive a receipt with my billing code for insurance reimbursement.
